My safety helmet.

My safety helmet

My safety helmet.

Yes my safety helmet was crooked when I first put it on, but that is not important, what is important is the Woolooware Bay development was amazing to see. I was blown away by the site visit.

My alignment with one of the Shires biggest Developer’s was a chance meeting. It all evolved in the Chairman’s lounge at a Sharkies NRL football game. After a small exchange with Matt Crews the Executive General Manager of the Woolooware Bay Development, we agreed to meet up, and there it began…

Since that day Capital Bluestone and Woolooware Bay have paved the way for me to fulfil my dream of becoming an athlete. Their support is unwavering not only to me but to the whole community.

I believe that is where my Athletics journey became a reality, being funded by such an amazing company who never asks for anything in return, except for me to chase my dream of being the athlete I want to be.  When I was at the lowest point with my injury that is where their true commitment stepped in.

The struggle is real financially in sport, to find people that believe in you is special, a company that is community minded, and willing to back an athlete to reach their full potential and support them to drive towards their highest of high goals is very rare.

My dreams: It comes down to living without limitations while still knowing and respecting my abilities. If you want something there is no reason that you can’t achieve it, all it takes dedication and finding the right connections. Woolooware Bay gives me that freedom.

It’s not hard to picture yourself where you want to be, with consistent motivation and belief in yourself, you can make anything possible. I try to free myself from mental constriction and I push my body further than I ever imagined.

Capital Bluestone is a part of my vehicle to get me to where I need to be. They are the structure behind Woolooware Bay the local development that is so amazing and I feel proud to be a part of.  Ben Fairfax is the Managing Director; to me this is not all he is. He is a friend and mentor, who is there for me every single step of the way. For me sponsorship is about being part of a family, thankfully that is what I have, my extended family.
